For this edition of Follow Friday, we’ve decided to spotlight the team behind the BiggerPockets Blog. We’ve already introduced you to their Founder & CEO, Joshua Dorkin, in a previous episode…like I said months ago: “Over the past year, Bigger Pockets has been evolving into an increasingly outstanding blog as well, featuring some of the best-written material I’ve read in recent months.” The content there has only gotten better since I wrote that.
So today, we’re going to spotlight four of the most prolific and consistent writers who make BiggerPockets such a valuable resource…
Stephani Davis is a serious expert on Wholesaling. She’s contributed a whopping 49 articles to BiggerPockets on that subject and it amounts to a nearly complete education. Her writing is always blunt, clear, and focused on step-by-step information you can put to work the same day. Her recent series on “MLS Bargain Hunting” was a goldmine for Realtors and investors alike, too. Most impressive, though, is her reader engagement…I have NEVER seen a comment or question go un-answered on her watch. (Also, check out her video content on her “Flip This Wholesaler” blog, too — she answers reader questions regularly and goes into valuable detail every time.)
Jeff Brown is a seriously experienced investor. His writing always reflects it, too — he’s wise, warm and full of hard-won advice. Jeff is also a serious advocate for his fellow investors, and in the last few months he’s been sounding an alarm bell that a lot of us need to hear…to see what I mean, check out his article “Why Many Wildly Successful Flippers and Wholesalers Will Face Bleak Retirements.” Jeff has been on the front lines of nearly every aspect of the Real Estate game, and he’s a very worthy addition to your twitter feed and your regular reading.
Peter Giardini has a rare gift for reducing complex topics to simple, strong tutorial blogs. Some of his articles are so thoroughly detailed he could be selling them as a training course. For an example, take a look at “Wholesaling as an Exit Strategy” to get a sense of his detailed but fast-paced style. Giardini is a perfect example of the BiggerPockets mission: a generous teacher who is still challenging himself to learn new things. Peter is also active on Twitter and runs a regular “Blog Talk Radio” format show that’s packed full of investing gems and worth checking out.
Ryan Hinricher reads more than me, and I say that very rarely. As the “Real Estate & Housing Analyst” for BiggerPockets, he manages to keep on top of every angle at once and still maintain a successful career as a full-time investor. What sets him apart is the scope of his background knowledge and his grounding in what actually matters for his audience. He’s also got an essential personal blog, the Investor Nation Insider, that’s well worth an RSS subscription.

I already left some thoughts on your AR blog, but wanted to thank you again for the great review of the BiggerPockets Blog and a handful of our best bloggers.
